Astana Enhanced Oil Recovery Declaration

Following the Astana Declaration adopted at the close of the Kazakhstan Forum on Enhanced Oil Recovery 2026, the Roadmap for the Development of Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods, Reserves Replacement, and the Implementation of Modern Technologies for 2027–2030 is now published.
It translates the Declaration’s principles into a plan, with ten directions, year-by-year milestones through 2030, and a set of concrete targets: EOR implemented at no fewer than 10 fields, at least 20 pilot projects, 100 specialists trained, a national EOR register, a Competence Center, and an annual Forum to keep the industry accountable to itself.
