Enhanced Oil Recovery in Argentina: A Conversation with Gastón Fondevilla Sancet (CAPSA). In this episode of our EOR podcast, I sat down with Gastón Fondevilla Sancet, Engineering Manager at CAPSA, to discuss his extensive experience in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and reservoir engineering in Argentina. Capsa has been at the forefront of polymer flooding deployment in Argentina with a pilot in 2007 in Diadema field: very heterogeneous reservoirs with oil viscosity above 100cP. The injected polymer viscosity is around 120cP to address heterogeneity issues with punctual gel treatments to slow down the front. Gastón also shares insights about the on-going surfactan-polymer trials to further enhance recovery.
